Live Updates in hindi: cbse class 10th board exam to be held twice from next year
Latest Updated On 26/02/2025: CBSE will now conduct class 10th examinations twice a year. In the year 2025-26 session, the class 10th board examination will be held twice. CBSE has sought suggestions from the people regarding this till 9 March.
Officials said that the draft of the board was approved in an important meeting chaired by the Ministry of Education. An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Union Education Minister in which the draft policy change was discussed in detail and it was decided to seek people's opinion on it.

Officials say that under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, students are being given a second chance to improve their performance in the board examination. For the first time, the board examination will be held from 17 February to 6 March in the year 2026, while the second examination can be held between 5 May and 20 May. 26.60 lakh candidates are expected to appear in the 2026 board examination. The board has made date-wise and subject-wise information public for both the examinations so that stakeholders can give their feedback on it.

Feedback invited on 42 points
CBSE has said that students associated with sports will have to appear in any one of the two exams. A separate exam will not be conducted for them. The exam centres for the first and second phases will also be the same. The board has sought feedback on 42 points for the proposed scheme.
