Latest Updated 10/06/2024: JoSAA counseling for more than 50 thousand seats in 121 engineering institutes including 23 IITs, 32 NITs of the country will start from June 10. For the five rounds of JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation System) counseling, students will be able to prioritize more than 600 college branches between 10 and 18 June.
This year, counseling will be completed in five rounds between June 10 and July 26. Till last year, it used to be done in six rounds. Students will be able to register and fill college choices on the JoSAA counseling website from 5 pm on June 10, the last date for which is 5 pm on June 18. Seat allocation for the first round will be done on June 20. Students who will be allotted seats in the first round will have to confirm their seats by June 24 by depositing the seat acceptance fee and uploading documents during online reporting.

The first allotment will be done on the basis of open rank
In the allotment of college seats filled to the students as per their rank, the first seat will be allotted on the basis of open rank. If a seat is not available on open rank, then the category students will be allotted college seats as per their category rank. In this way, category students can get seats as per their rank from both open and category.
