Latest Updated 26/06/2024: The CBI has started tightening the noose on the accused in the NEET UG paper leak case. A copy of the FIR lodged by the investigating agency was submitted in the court of Patna CBI Special Judicial Magistrate Harshvardhan Singh on Tuesday. Along with this, the CBI has also started the process of taking the accused lodged in jail on remand and presenting them.

In the FIR registered in the NEET case in the Delhi branch of CBI, Nitish Kumar, Rocky, Akhilesh Kumar, Sikandar Yadavendu, Bittu Kumar, Sanjeev, Amit Anand, Ayush Raj have been made named accused. Apart from this, an FIR has also been registered against unknown persons. All of them, except Rocky and Sanjeev, are in jail. On Tuesday, three officers including a DSP rank officer of CBI reached the special court in Patna. The bureau officials had reached CBI Special In-charge Judicial Magistrate Praful Kumar Singh with their lawyer Amit Kumar. It is believed that the CBI will produce the accused lodged in Beur Jail for remand. On getting the remand, further action will be taken after interrogating them. In the NEET paper leak case, Patna Police and EOU have so far arrested 20 people from Bihar and Jharkhand.
