fine imposed for not making biometric attendance in pmch by nmc bihar latest news update 2024
Latest Updated 26/06/2024: Lack of faculty, resources and absence of biometric attendance by professors has cost the state's largest government hospital, PMCH, dearly. The National Medical Council (NMC) imposed a fine of Rs 4 lakh on PMCH. NMC has imposed this fine after assessing the annual report on various points.
In an e-mail sent by NMC to Principal Vidyapati Chaudhary, Undergraduate Medical Education Board Director Shambhu Sharan Kumar said that the fine amount will have to be deposited in NMC's account within seven days. Only after this fine, the board will approve 200 seats for MBBS studies to PMCH. He said that NMC had objected to many points of the principal's declaration. Last week on 18 June, the principal presented his side on these points before NMCH through video conference. NMC did not find it satisfactory.
