Latest Updated 27/04/2024: NTA has not released the results of hundreds of students of the second phase of JEE Main. Because of this the problems of the students have increased. Despite appearing in exam, result of session-2 of these students have not been released. The reason for this is said to be non-matching of registration number (duplicate application number).

With the release of the results, many cases came to light in which the results of the April session of the students were not released. All India Rank has been released on the basis of the results of January session only. Also, N-A (Not Available) is written in the results of April session of these students. In NTA score column, the word 'duplicate' is written along with the application no. of January. These are the students who appeared in the examination of both January and April session on the basis of different registration numbers. Considering different application numbers of these students as an unique, NTA has released a single All India Rank & Category Rank for them.

Now, the challenge has come before these students that even after the appearing in the exam of April session, counseling will have to be complete on the basis of All India Rank and Category Rank obtained in the January session, whereas it is possible that their April examination may be better than that of January. Due to which they have the possibility of getting better NTA score. The expert said that the matter of withholding the results was not mentioned earlier. The expert said that such information was not issued to the students during the application process.
