Decision taken in the meeting of University Admission Cell
Latest Updated 26/04/2024: Admission will be taken for 50,734 seats in Under Graduate (UG) Semester One in 34 degree colleges of Dhanbad-Bokaro under BBMKU. These include 21,576 seats in constituent colleges, 27,784 seats in affiliated colleges and 1374 seats in minority colleges. In the year 2023, enrollment will be done in the colleges subordinate to BBMKU only on the allotted seats. There is no increase in seats in the year 2024.

At present the university management does not have the right to take policy decisions. Other proposals including increasing the seats will have to be sent to Raj Bhavan seeking permission. For this reason, nominations will be taken only on the seats of year 2023. CUET was implemented in BBMKU in the year 2023. Under this, 50 percent of the total seats were reserved under CUET. Now CUET seats have been abolished. Like before, admission will be done from the merit list prepared on the basis of intermediate marks.

With the release of JAC Inter results, the Chancellor portal will be opened for enrollment in graduation. There has been no increase in the admission fees.

BBMKU Admission Cell has decided in the meeting that the affiliated colleges of Dhanbad-Bokaro where BCA, BBA and other vocational courses are taught. Those affiliated colleges will now have to take recognition from AICTE. Only after that enrollment will be taken in BBA and BCA in these colleges.
