Latest Updated 26/04/2024: The Special Judicial Magistrate of the Economic Offenses Unit on Thursday gave permission to take five accused jailed on two-day police remand for questioning in the BPSC third phase teacher recruitment examination paper leak case.
The EOU had filed an application in the special court seeking permission to give them police remand to interrogate the jailed accused Pradeep Kumar, Sandeep alias Balli, Soumya Kumar, Tejashwi and Shiv Kumar alias Doctor. EOU had arrested these five from Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh and presented them in the special court of Patna. The special court took all of them into judicial custody and sent them to Beur jail.
In the paper leak case, the Economic Offenses Unit had arrested 267 candidates from Hazaribagh in Jharkhand state and presented them in the special court of Patna. In the paper leak case, the Economic Offenses Unit has registered an FIR on March 16, 2024 and is investigating.
