7.66 lakh candidates will appear for matric and inter exam by JAC latest news update 2024

Latest Updated 06/02/2024: Matriculation and intermediate examinations are starting from Tuesday. 7 lakh 66 thousand 500 candidates will appear in both the examinations. 4 lakh 21 thousand 678 students will appear in matriculation and 3 lakh 44 thousand 822 students will appear in intermediate examination. 94 thousand 433 candidates will appear in Intermediate Science, 25 thousand 907 in Commerce and 2 lakh 24 thousand 502 candidates will appear in Arts.



740 examination centers have been created


1238 examination centers have been created for matriculation and 740 for intermediate. The examination will be conducted from February 6 to February 26. Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has completed the preparation for the exam.


  • There are 4,21,678 candidates for matriculation and 3,44,822 candidates for intermediate.
  • 1238 examination centers have been set up for matriculation, strict security arrangements have been made.
  • Flying squad team has been formed at district and block level.

Matriculation examinations will be held in the first shift from 9.45 am to 1 pm. Whereas in the second shift, Intermediate examination will be held from 2 pm to 5.15 pm. This time there will be no examination on OMR sheet.


Question cum answer booklet will be given for matriculation. Whereas, plain answer sheet will be given for Intermediate. In this only, answers to objective questions, short answer and long answer questions will have to be written. Examination for vocational papers of both matriculation and intermediate will be held on 6th February. CCTVs have been installed at examination centres. Many important arrangements have also been made.


Flying squad teams have been formed at the district and block level. This team will conduct surprise inspection of the examination centres. Strict security arrangements have been made to ensure malpractice-free examination.
