Latest Updated 07/02/2024: Bihar Public Service Commission has announced the third phase teacher recruitment examination. In this phase, there will be recruitment on about 87 thousand posts. The online application process will start from 10 February. Its last date will be 17th February. The exam will be held from 7 March to 17 March. This time too, examinations will be conducted for appointment in schools from primary to higher secondary. The results are likely to come before Holi.


BPSC Chairman Atul Prasad told in the press conference in the office room on Tuesday that a proposal to conduct the examination has come from the Education Department. Actual number of vacancies has not been received. However, there are expected to be a significant number of vacancies. He told that this examination is being seen as a supplementary examination. In this, vacancies will be announced for teachers of classes one to five (primary), six to eight (middle), ninth to tenth (secondary) and eleventh to twelfth (higher secondary).

According to the Chairman, this time vacancies will be released for schools under Education Department and SC-ST Welfare Department. Appearing candidates will not be given a chance in this. Only those applicants who have already passed STET, CTET, CTET can apply. New candidates will not be given any chance. The fourth phase examination for them will be conducted in August.


The examination will be of two & a half hours. BPSC Chairman said that there will be only one paper in the 3rd phase examination. This exam will be of two & a half hours. There will be no negative marking. There will be a language test in the Part-I. Part-2 will be of general studies & Part-3 will be of related subject. Part- One will be a qualifying subject. In this, total 30 questions of 30 marks will be asked. There will be 40 questions in General Studies and each question will have one mark for the correct answer i.e. a total of 40 marks. At the same time, 80 questions of 80 marks will be asked from the subject in which you will become a teacher. Merit list will be prepared only after qualifying in the language. There will be questions from all 3 parts in a single booklet. The exam syllabus will be from NCERT & SCRT.



There will be only one paper, this time also there will be no system of negative marking in the exam

Supplementary result will not be released in this phase


Commission Secretary Ravi Bhushan said that supplementary results will not be released in the 3rd phase. In a way, this is the supplementary examination. Advertisement related to the examination will be released in one to two days. This examination will be like the 2nd phase. Care has to be taken while applying. In case of any discrepancy, the applicants themselves will be responsible. The second phase restoration process has ended.

Bihar Public Service Commission had released the supplementary result for the schools under the Backward and Most Backward Classes Welfare Department. In this, successful candidates have to upload the certificates on the website of the Commission from 7 February to 11 February.
