CM said that it has been 51 years since I passed out from this institute. We come to this function every year. In this, one gets a chance to meet old classmates. It feels great to meet old friends. After studying in Patna Science College, I took enrollment in it. At that time 500 students studied here. In the student union elections, on my request, 450 out of 500 votes were in support. We can never forget that thing. CM said that when I was a minister in Atal ji's government, NITs were being built at 14 places in the country. We urged that Bihar College of Engineering is the sixth college in the country, which should get the status of NIT. At the same time in the year 2004 this college got the status of NIT. In Bihta also, a campus is ready on 125 acres of land. Here also arrangements have been made for the study of six thousand students.

He said that when we were studying, girls did not study in engineering colleges. We established engineering colleges in all the districts of the state and reserved 35 percent seats for girls.
