Super specialist doctors in the medical colleges of Uttarakhand will get salary of 5 lakh rupees latest news update 2024
Latest Updated 07/01/2024: To promote super specialty services in the medical colleges of Uttarakhand, it has been decided to more than double the pay scale of the faculty.
Medical Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat held a meeting of officers at the Secretariat on Saturday. In which instructions were given to increase super specialty services in the medical colleges of the state. For this, it has been decided to make the pay scale for these services also attractive. Rawat said that instructions have been given to more than double the pay scale of the faculty of cardiology, urology, nephrology, radiology, neuro surgery and plastic and burn surgery in medical colleges. The Medical Education Department has been asked to bring its proposal to the Cabinet. It has also been decided to increase the maximum age limit for application for the post of Associate Professor and Professor in the department. Currently, the maximum age limit for applying for Associate Professor and Professor in the state is 50 years, which is now being increased to 62 years. However, the maximum age limit to apply for the post of Assistant Professor will remain the same as before, 45 years.
Proposed Salary of Super Specialist Faculty
Hilly area professors get Rs 2.14 lakh, which will now be Rs 5 lakh per month. The salary of Associate Professor will be increased from Rs 1.84 lakh to Rs 4 lakh. Assistant Professor will get Rs 3 lakh instead of Rs 1.42 lakh. Whereas senior residents will get Rs 2 lakh instead of Rs 90 thousand.
Plains area professors get Rs 1.43 lakh, which will now be Rs 4 lakh per month. The salary of Associate Professor will be increased from Rs 1.23 lakh to Rs 3 lakh. Assistant Professor will get Rs 2.5 lakh instead of Rs 95 thousand. Whereas senior residents will be given Rs 1.5 lakh instead of Rs 84 thousand.
