Latest Updated 07/01/2024: After the announcement of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the services of 10203 selection-free maids and 8016 assistants have been restored. The Director of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) released the notification on Saturday night.
However, they will not get any kind of honorarium or incentive from the strike period till the contribution date. It should be noted that during the strike period they were exempted from selection by some district program officers.

Earlier, the Chief Minister had assured the return of selected Anganwadi workers and assistants to service. He had also assured of a respectable increase in their honorarium. On Saturday, a delegation of Anganwadi workers and helpers paid a courtesy call on the Chief Minister at Lok Samvad, 1, Anne Marg. In this sequence, he presented his problems before the Chief Minister.
On this occasion, Finance, Commercial Tax and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Social Welfare Minister Madan Sahni, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar and Dr. S. Siddharth, Principal Secretary of Finance Department Arvind Kumar Chaudhary, Secretary of Social Welfare Department Prem Singh Meena, Secretary to Chief Minister Anupam Kumar, Director of Integrated Child Development Services Kaushal Kishore were present.
