Breaking News: PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate the buildings of IIM and IIT
Latest Updated 08/11/2023: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new campus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ranchi during his visit to Jharkhand. Besides, the newly constructed buildings of IIT/ISM Dhanbad are also to be inaugurated by the Prime Minister. Both these institutions have been contacted by the PMO in this regard.
PM Modi is coming to Jharkhand on 15th November
The Prime Minister is coming to Jharkhand on 15th November. He will visit Ulihatu, the birthplace of Lord Birsa Munda. From here the Prime Minister will start the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra. From here the Prime Minister will inaugurate the newly constructed buildings of IIM Ranchi and IIT/ISM Dhanbad in online mode. He will also lay the online foundation stone of the new campus being built at Sanga in Kanke of Indian Institute of Information Technology (Triple IT), Ranchi.
The new campus of IIM, Ranchi is ready in Naya Sarai Management Nagar, Dhurwa. Its campus is spread over approximately 60 acres. It has arrangements for classrooms, director's office, administrative building, faculty and staff quarters, library, computer center, hostel and auditorium. The first phase work has been completed at a cost of approximately Rs 300 crore.
Established in the year 2009, IIM started in the temporary campus at Soochna Bhawan, Ranchi and shifted to its permanent campus at Naya Sarai in the year 2021. PM will also lay the foundation stone of the permanent campus of Triple IT being built in Sanga. The permanent campus of Triple IT is being built at a cost of approximately Rs 128 crore.
