Changes in eligibility rules of NTA NEET-UG Entrance Exam latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 23/11/2023: The National Medical Commission (NMC) on Wednesday changed the eligibility criteria for the medical entrance exam National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate (NEET-UG). According to this, students who have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology with English as an additional subject after 12th from a recognized board will be eligible to appear for the NEET-UG exam.
This decision will also be applicable to those whose applications were earlier rejected. The notice said that after the preparation of Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023, the earlier rules along with various amendments are repealed.

Syllabus shortened According to the National Testing Agency, the syllabus of NEET-UG has been shortened to be in sync with the curriculum framed under CBSE and other school boards. The examination for taking admission in medical college will be held on 5 May this year.
