Latest Updated 26/10/2023: Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission is going to start the recruitment process soon for 6970 posts stuck in the eligibility dispute. The Personnel Department has instructed the heads of the departments to modify such proposals & send them to the Commission.


Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission has the right to recruit on Group 'C' and 'D' posts in the state. Recruitment to Group ‘A’ and ‘B’ posts is done by Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission. Since the situation regarding the eligibility of graduates was not clear, the Public Service Commission had returned the proposals received for recruitment to 6970 posts to the concerned departments.

Recently, a meeting of recruitment commissions & board chairmen was conduct under the chairmanship of CM Yogi Adityanath. In this, instructions were provide to speed up the recruitment process. Commissions & boards were instructed to start taking applications by issuing advertisements for all the posts that have received proposals. The issue of the equivalence was also raised in the meeting itself. Public Service Commission had said that due to lack of clarity in the condition, a total of 51 proposals were returned, out of which there are 6970. The Department of Personnel has decided the equivalence of the graduation. Heads of departments have been instructed to modify all such proposals received & send them to the Public Service Commission. According to a govt official, most of the departments have started the process of sending recruitment proposals to the Public Service Commission. It is believed that the process of issuing advertisements to fill these vacancies will began soon.
