Latest Updated 15/09/2023: In Jharkhand Police, all the sub-inspectors and equivalent rank officers reinstated in the reservation category in 2012 have come under the ambit of investigation. Physical verification of the issued caste and residential certificates of all the officers who have been reinstated in the reservation category is being done. Besides, the work of physical verification of permanent residence is also going on.
DIG Personnel of the State Police Headquarters has sent a letter in this regard to the SPs of all the districts, Range DIGs and DIGs of all police units asking for a report. After which, physical verification of the documents and permanent residence of the officers reinstated from the reservation category of Inspector rank is being done across the state. The truth will come out through physical verification.
