License of those who do not contribute after recruitment will be canceled by the government of Jharkhand latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 12/08/2023: Doctors who do not contribute after being appointed by the state government can be banned from government service forever. Along with this, a recommendation can also be sent to the National Medical Commission (NMC) to cancel his medical license. It is being prepared by the Health Department.
In fact, last April, 171 doctors were posted by the Health Department in health centers located in different districts of the state. All the doctors appointed as Medical Officers had to ensure taking charge by maximum 24th April. Otherwise, a provision was made to cancel the appointment order, but even after four months of posting, 29 out of 171 doctors have not taken charge.
Last chance to take charge till 15 Additional Secretary of Health Department Jai Kishore Prasad has issued instructions to all the doctors who are not taking charge. In this, he has said that in relation to not taking charge at the place of posting, all the doctors will ensure to take charge at the place of posting by 15 August 2023, providing their explanation to the civil surgeon of the concerned district. Districts where doctors have not contributed.
Among them, 5 in Bokaro, 4 in West Singhbhum, 3-3 in Gumla and Dhanbad, 2-2 in East Singhbhum, Ramgarh, Girdih and Jamtara, whereas, 1-1 in Ranchi, Chatra, Lohardaga, Sahebganj, Pakur, Seraikela and Garhwa. The doctors have not taken charge.
The process of direct recruitment to 232 posts of Medical Officers was started in February last year through JPSC.
Pay scale 9300-34800 and grade pay 5400 (Level-9) was fixed for permanent appointment. Based on the vacancies communicated by the Health Department, JPSC published the results of 180 doctors in December 2022, who passed the written and oral examination according to the desired educational qualification. Out of this, 171 doctors were finally posted in April last. But out of that only 142 doctors contributed in their respective centres. In this way, even now 29 doctors have not contributed.
