Latest Updated 20/07/2023: This time enrollment will be done on increased seats in 38 engineering colleges of the state. This time there are a total of 13 thousand 675 seats. In the last session, 10 thousand 865 seats were enrolled.
This year, 2810 seats have increased by combining different courses and colleges. Data science in some college and cyber security courses are to be started in some college. In the colleges where Computer Science (CS) was not taught in the last session, this time CS studies will start in those colleges. The first choice of Bihar students is also CS course.

Admission to engineering colleges in the state will be done on the basis of JEE Main score. 33 percent seats have been reserved for women candidates in all government engineering colleges. The girl students will get its benefit from this session itself. OSD of BCECE told that if seats are not filled on JEE Main score, then separate examination of PCM, PCB group will be taken. Here, the enrollment program has been amended from the rank of JEE Main in 38 government engineering colleges of the state. Bihar Joint Entrance Competitive Examination Board has revised the program website www.board.bihar.gov.in. Now online registration cum choice filling will be accepted till July 24 instead of July 31. On the other hand, the provisional seat allotment result for the first phase will be released on July 30.
Candidates will download the allotment order till August 2 and get the admission documents checked. The seat allotment list for the second phase will be released on August 9 instead of August 5. Will be able to upload the allotment letter from nine. Scrutiny of papers for nomination will be held from August 10 to 12.
Physical reporting to four in IIT Patna
Physical reporting will have to be done for final admission in IIT. In this, August 4 reporting time has been given in IIT Patna. Whereas in Bombay between July 31 and August 4, IIT Delhi on July 28, Kanpur, Palakkad on August 8, Madras from July 29 to 31, Kharagpur from August 1 to 3, Guwahati, Gandhinagar, Jodhpur on July 31, Roorkee and Indore on August 1, Hyderabad, Bhilai on August 2, BHU on August 7, Ropar on July 30, Dhanbad, Mandi, Tirupati Students will have to complete the admission process by physically reporting between 5th August in Bhubaneswar, 5-6th in Bhubaneswar, 3rd to 4th August in Dharwad, 11th August in Goa, 31st July to 1st August in Jammu.
Patna New session will start in IIT Patna from 10th August. JoSAA has released the schedule for the commencement of the first semester on Wednesday along with the release of the reporting date. The first semester studies in Delhi and Madras will start from July 31. IIT Roorkee from 2nd August, Jodhpur from 3rd August, Hyderabad on 4th August, Bombay, Kharagpur, Bhilai, Jammu on 7th, Varanasi, Dhanbad, Dharwad on 8th August, Indore, Tirupati on 9th, Kanpur, Guwahati, Patna, Bhubaneswar on 10th, IIT Mandi, Palakkad and Goa on 14th and finally on 28th August in IIT Gandhinagar.
Studies back on track after three years due to covid
The education of the country's most prestigious engineering institute IIT is back on track after three years. After Kovid-19, the first semester studies in IITs are going to start from July-August this year. Earlier till 2019, the first semester of IITs used to start by mid-July or August.
5th round seat allotment tomorrow
The seat allotment for the fifth round of Josa counseling for more than 57,000 seats in 116 colleges including IIT-NIT will be held on July 21. After allotment, online reporting can be done by July 24.
