Breaking News: Former JDU president of Jharkhand Gautam Sagar Rana left the party along with his supporters

Latest Updated 07/07/2023: Former JDU president and party stalwart in Jharkhand Gautam Sagar Rana resigned from the primary membership of the party along with half a dozen other leaders. This decision has been taken in view of the negative attitude of the party leadership towards furthering the party organization in Jharkhand. His supporters say that the issues discussed by the party leadership earlier were not being implemented on the ground because they were unhappy.


He left the party on Thursday along with his supporters. However, it is not yet clear what has he decided about his political future. Abid Ali, Sharda Devi, Arjun Yadav, Balbir Dev, Naseem Ansari, Pranay Kumar Bablu, Shabbar Fatmi, Mohsin Ansari, Rajesh Kumar, Ranjan Singh, Phoolchand Sahu, Pradeep Oraon are among the prominent leaders who left JDU along with Rana.

Gautam Rana was an old socialist leader 


It is noteworthy that Gautam Sagar Rana has been an old socialist leader. He has been also a member of Bihar Legislative Council. Gautam Sagar Rana, a resident of Hazaribagh in Jharkhand, was the president of Janata Dal United during the Jharkhand state formation. He was also the convenor & chairman of the coordination committee of the ruling NDA. After being in JDU for a long time, he left JDU and joined RJD and was made its state president.


Because of this, Gautam Rana had left RJD


Later he had to leave RJD in the matter of indiscipline of Abhay Kumar Singh in RJD. After leaving RJD, he again returned to JDU at the behest of Sharad Yadav. But due to no implementation on the talks held with Nitish Kumar to take the organization forward in Jharkhand, he was forced to leave JDU along with his supporters.
