Latest Updated 15/07/2023: The recruitment process of 12 senior medical teachers has been started in nine superspeciality departments of SNMMCH, Dhanbad. According to Alok Trivedi, Special Secretary, Health Department, seven super specialty departments, one each in Cardiology, Cardio Vascular Thoracic Surgery, Nephrology, Urology, Neurology, Neuro Surgery, Gastroenterology Medical, Gastroenterology Surgical as well as Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Burn Unit, A total of nine professors and one each in nephrology, neurology and gastroenterology, a total of three associate professors will be appointed on contract basis.
- Interview on 22nd and 23rd in RIMS for recruitment
- The appointment will be on contract basis for two years
For this contract-based appointment, a walk-in interview has been organized on 22 & 23 July at the administrative building of RIMS, Ranchi. In this, there will be an interview for Professor on 22nd, while for Associate Professor on 23rd July.

The maximum age limit for contractual medical teachers will be 70 years for all categories. Professor will get 2.5 lakh while, associate professor will get a monthly honorarium of Rs 2 lakh. Contract based services will be for a maximum of two years or till regular appointment/promotion, whichever is earlier, or till the age of 70 years.
After the completion of the contract period of two years, after their performance is found satisfactory, service extension for one year at a time for the subsequent years will be done with the consent of the Finance Department.
