Latest Updated 21/06/2023: The services of 2000 teachers and personnel reinstated on contract in 65 constituent colleges of Jharkhand are being terminated. Inter studies have been stopped in the constituent colleges from the academic session 2023-24, due to which there has been a need to terminate the services of contractual teachers and personnel for teaching in the Inter classes in these institutions. Various colleges are also issuing orders for this from their own level. The service of teachers and personnel will end with effect from 31 May 2023.
In the new education policy of the central government, 9th to 12th studies have been prescribed at the school level, while graduation-post-graduation studies have been done at the college level. It is also being implemented in Jharkhand from the new academic session. Under this, the intermediate studies going on in the affiliated colleges are being stopped. Intermediate education will be in high-plus two schools as well as intermediate colleges. In intermediate colleges where intermediate studies are conducted, preparations are on to start studies for classes 9th and 10th as well.

Union Minister of State for Education met BJP leader
Teachers and non-teaching staff of Garidih's college have met separately with Union Minister of State for Education Annapurna Devi and BJP Legislature Party leader Babulal Marandi and informed them about their problems. Both the leaders said that taking this matter seriously, they will urge the government to take necessary action in this direction. Social worker Deepak Upadhyay represented the workers in the meeting with the leaders. He said that the present government of Jharkhand is firing people who have been employed since years of education in the state, instead of giving them jobs. In such a situation, how will education be expanded in the state. If people lose their jobs, they will come on the road.
Demand for adjustment in plus two schools
Teachers and workers of constituent colleges are demanding adjustment of their service. Jharkhand Angibhut Mahavidyalaya Intermediate Contract Teacher and Non-Teaching Staff Front has demanded adjustment of teachers and personnel in plus two schools. He says that he has been working in the college for years. If their service is terminated now, where will they go. The age of many teachers and workers has also increased.
