Breaking News: Militants attack again in Manipur Imphal, 9 people killed
Latest Updated 15/06/2023: Violence flared up again in Manipur, killing nine people. Suspected militants attacked the village in Khamenlok area of the state. 10 other people were also injured in the attack. Curfew is still in force in 11 out of 16 districts of the violence-hit state.
Police said armed militants surrounded and attacked the villagers at around 1 am on Tuesday. People from both the sides have suffered casualties in the firing. According to the police, three other people are missing. The area shares borders with Meitei-dominated Imphal East district & tribal-dominated Kangpokpi. Army has also been deployed in the Uttarakhand Uttar Pradesh.

Curfew time extended in two districts of the state
In Imphal East and Imphal West, the district administration has extended the curfew time. Curfew relaxation time has been reduced from 5 am to 6 pm to 5 am to 9 am. Internet services remained suspended in violence-hit Manipur for over a month.
