ED investigation reached close relatives of accused of UKSSSC Recruitment Exam Scam

Latest Updated 15/06/2023: A big disclosure has been made in the raids of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) at the locations of the accused in the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) paper leak scandal. The accused were converting the black money earned from paper leak into white by investing in mining and liquor business. On Wednesday, the raids conducted on Tuesday were reviewed at the ED office in Dehradun.


ED teams had taken action on Tuesday along with Doon at the hideouts of paper leak scamsters in Ramnagar, Kashipur and Dhampur. The ED is evaluating the properties of these accused for attachment. After the action, all the ED teams returned to Dehradun on Wednesday. Here he gave the details of the action to the top officers.

According to the sources, the details of the properties of the accused involved in the recruitment scam have also been gathered in the investigation so far. The records of the bank accounts of the accused for five years are also being scrutinised. During the raid, the ED came to know that the accused had invested money in mining and liquor business in the name of their close ones. The accused had transferred the same amount from one account to another on a large scale at regular intervals.


The ED team also returned from Uttarkashi and evaluated the property of Hakam Singh, the main accused in the paper leak scandal, along with his residence in Doon in Uttarkashi. The ED team which went to Uttarkashi for investigation also reached Dehradun on Wednesday afternoon. Hakam's property worth about Rs 5.83 crore in Uttarkashi has been attached by the STF, while the ED is taking action to attach the rest of the property after collecting the details. Property information has also been found at other places in the name of Hakam and his family members.
