Latest Updated 189/06/2023: Jharkhand Police will get 24 promoted IPS officers. On Monday, there is a meeting of the selection committee regarding promotion in the office of UPSAC in Dhaulpur, Delhi. In this, Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh will be present on behalf of the state government. Jharkhand Police has 24 vacancies of 2017, 2018, 2019 & 2020 batch. Presently 24 posts are vacant on the post of 45 IPS officers to be filled by the promotion. In such a situation, Jharkhand Police Service officers who are reinstated from second and third JPSC on these posts will be given the benefit of promotion.


Names of officers of the second batch affected by the CBI probe are not considered The recommendations sent by the state government for promotion have not included those officers of the second batch whose reinstatement is under investigation by the CBI. Those DSP level officers of the 2nd batch, in whose recruitment no irregularities have been found, will get the benefit of promotion. After this, the officers of the third batch will get promotion according to the preference on the vacant posts.
