A nine-member inquiry committee was formed after receiving the opinion from the government advocate

Latest Updated 01/06/2023: After getting legal guidance from the government advocate in the BPL admission case, the District Superintendent of Education cum RTE Cell has also formed an inquiry committee. SDO Education Ayush Kumar and Area Education Officer Baghmara Gautam Kumar Sahu are in the two-member inquiry committee. District Education Superintendent Bhootnath Rajwar has to submit the investigation report within a week after scrutinizing the complaints received for BPL admission to the investigation team.


After this, the process of BPL enrollment will be started by RTE Cell after completing various procedures. Let us inform that the Jharkhand Child Rights Protection Commission has banned BPL enrollment in public schools of Dhanbad.

The commission has formed a nine-member investigation team to investigate about three hundred complaints received. The investigation team was directed to hand over the documents related to BPL admission by May 26, but the DSE office did not hand over any documents related to BPL admission to the Jharkhand Commission for Protection of Child Rights. Legal opinion was sought from the Government Advocate in the matter. The district office also informed the Directorate of Primary Education about the entire matter.


Commission and Education Department face to face After the formation of the inquiry committee by the District Education Superintendent's office, the commission and the district RTE cell have come face to face. Two committees were formed to investigate the matter related to BPL admission. The parents' attention has focused on both the committees.


DSE Admission will start after summer vacation


DSE Bhootnath Rajwar said that an inquiry committee has been formed. Scrutiny of complaints has been done and report has been sought. Enrollment of concerned BPL students will start in public schools after summer vacation.


789 BPL Seats in public schools


Out of 71 recognized schools in the district, 67 schools have 789 seats for BPL children. District Education Department has released the selection list of 670 children. 82 seats have been kept vacant due to various reasons. Hundreds of parents have complained about the enrollment list. The Jharkhand State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has banned the enrollment after a complaint. BPL enrollment in public schools has not been done due to the coming face to face between the commission and the DSE office. Children's education is getting damaged.
