Trouble over recruitment of nursing officers by seniority in UK Uttarakhand latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 18/05/2023: The recruitment of 1300 vacant posts of nursing officers in the medical colleges of the state is stuck. Expressing objection to the recruitment of nurses on the basis of seniority, the Finance Department has told the need to conduct an examination for this recruitment.
The government had decided to recruit the posts of Nursing Officers in the Health Department on the basis of seniority. Under this, the Medical Selection Commission is recruiting 1564 posts. On the same lines, a proposal was also being prepared for the recruitment of 1300 vacant posts in the medical colleges under the Medical Education Department.
But the Finance Department has objected to this proposal. Instead of approving the recruitment on the basis of seniority, the Finance Department has returned the file. Now the Medical Education Department has decided to take the recruitment to the cabinet once again.
The decision was taken after a long agitation
Earlier, the government was doing the recruitment of nursing officers on the basis of written examination only. Recruitment agency was also selected. Later, in view of the movement of unemployed nurses, it was decided to get the recruitment done on the basis of seniority.
