Sports grounds will be ready in 309 schools of Patna Bihar latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 21/05/2023: To keep the health and mental development of the children, playgrounds will be prepared in government schools. 309 government schools of Patna district have been selected for this. Grounds have been prepared for different sports in 19 schools.
In the first phase, the district administration has selected schools in each panchayat to provide such facility in secondary and higher secondary schools. These schools will have facilities for sports like football, volleyball, tennis etc. Let us inform that there are 450 schools from ninth to 12th standard in Patna district.
A volleyball court has been made as a model in the Shaheed Ramanand High School campus of Punpun's Lakhna Panchayat. There is no inconvenience in rainy days, that is why paver blocks have been used in the playground. Balipakad village school in Paliganj, Ghagh Panchayat High School in Bakhtiyarpur, Rupas Mahaji School Moghalpura and Champapur School, Sultanpur Middle School in Mokama, Athmalgola School (Tennis Court), Dhanrua Higher Secondary School, Maner Higher Secondary School along with Bikram, Danapur, The boundary has been made for the playground in secondary and higher secondary schools of Fatuha, Belchhi blocks. Sports activities have also started here.
Rain water harvesting facility is also available in 227 schools
In the 19 playgrounds prepared in Patna district, volleyball courts have been made in three schools, badminton courts in five schools, football grounds in 10 places and tennis courts in one school. 227 schools have rain water harvesting facilities. DDC Tanay Sultania said that the work of making playgrounds in schools is going on fast. Instructions have been given to get the work done from the BDO at the proposed places.
Sports leads to the physical-mental development of children. Digestion is fine and appetite is felt. Blood circulation remains fine. The brain and heart get proper blood. Diseases are less. Children stay away from mobile and computer.
A plan has been prepared to connect children with sports and studies. Sports grounds are being made in government schools. All BDOs have been instructed to complete the work on time. The facility of sports activities should be made available in most of the government schools of Patna.
