604 students will be admitted in Jharkhand Girls Residential Schools latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 31/05/2023: In five Jharkhand Girls Residential Girls Schools (except Nirsa) and three Jharkhand Girls Residential Schools operated in the district, 604 girl students will be enrolled in classes six to eight in session 2023-24. On Tuesday, the selection list was approved in the district level nomination committee meeting chaired by DC Sandeep Singh.
There will be enrollment of 440 out of 444 in Kasturba schools and 164 out of 182 in JBAB. Due to various reasons, 22 seats of minority and other categories remained vacant. Girl students have been selected in the categories of orphan, father not alive, mother not alive, remote area/BPL, Chheejit (dropout) naxal affected area, father/mother disabled, father/mother suffering from illness.

1195 applications have been received for eight schools. Various processes of enrollment will be completed soon for enrollment in Nirsa Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya. Various MLA representatives, DEO Bhootnath Rajwar, Girl Education Incharge Dr. Meetu Sinha, all BEEOs and other members were present in the meeting.
