26 big drains will be constructed in Dhanbad Jharkhand, tender soon latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 01/06/2023: Municipal Commissioner Satyendra Kumar announced in Hindustan Samvad program on Wednesday that 26 big drains would be constructed to improve the drainage system in the city. 55 crore rupees will be spent on this. Also, under the long-term plan, sewerage scheme worth Rs 808 crore has been approved by the government. This plan will now go into the tender process.
He said that encroachment is the root cause of water logging in the city. For the last two decades, encroachment was done from small drains to the main drain. To overcome all these problems, the government has approved the sewerage-drainage scheme worth Rs.808 crore.
In its second phase, all the drains will be underground and put in STP. 1200 crore will be spent in this scheme. The team of Asian Development Bank inspected it last month and agreed to give the amount. This plan will start appearing on the ground in a year.
