Bihar Health Department Recruitment 2023: 39 Ayush doctors will be recruited on Contract basis latest news update
Latest Updated 23/05/2023: Those taking treatment in both the Ayurvedic Colleges of the state, Patna and Begusarai, will have the facility. Bihar health department has decided that the vacant posts of AYUSH doctors will be filled in both colleges.
Till the permanent restoration, the health department has decided to restore on contract basis for the time being. Advertisement has also been released for this. Due to non-availability of the doctors, patients are returning from these hospitals without achieving the treatment. According to officials, there is a requirement for more doctors in both Ayurvedic Colleges of Bihar in the light of the instructions of the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine, Ministry of AYUSH. Under this, the health department has decided to fill the vacant posts of professor & associate professor in the hospitals.

Similarly, online applications have been invited for 2 posts of associate professor & one post of professor in Shalakya Tantra department, 2 posts of associate professor & 1 professor in Kaumar Bhrity department, while 1 post of professor in Panchakarma department. Reservation rules prescribed by the state govt will be followed in contract employment. Applicants applying against the reserved post will have to mandatory submit the certificate released by the competent authority in the prescribed format. The maximum age limit of the candidate has been fixed at 66 years. Work experience is required for all the vacancies.

There will be restoration on 39 posts on contract basis. Among the posts, online applications have been sought for 2 posts of associate professor for the Department of Code & Theory and one for professor. Similarly, 1 post for Professor in the Department of Anatomy, 2 posts each for Associate Professor and Professor in the Department of Physiology, 2 posts each for Associate Professor & Professor in the Department of Dravyaguna, 2 posts for Associate Professor in the Department of Disease Diagnosis & Pathology.
Applications have been invited for two posts each of Professor and Associate Professor in the Department of Posts, Health Circle and Yoga. While one post each of associate professor & professor in the Department of Orthopedics and Forensic Medicine, 3 posts of associate professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 1 of professor, 2 of associate professor in the Department of Surgery, while applications were sought for 1 post of professor.
