Trending News: 36 District Education Officers (DEOs) who do not account for the amount will be measured including Bihar Sharif Nalanda
Latest Updated 20/05/2023: The sword of action is hanging on 36 District Education Officers (DEOs) including Nalanda. State Project Director of Bihar Education Project Council B. Kartikeya Dhanji has sent a letter to all the DMs except Arwal and Shivhar, ordering them to get the amount taken in advance from these DEOs expeditiously adjusted. Otherwise, departmental action will be taken against these DEOs. Marked 36 DEOs are not able to give the details of the expenditure of the advance amount taken in the financial year 2021-22.
They were asked to give an account by 15 May. But, they proved unsuccessful. Now if the work is not completed by 31 May, then action is fixed. At present, the DEOs of Arwal and Shivhar have been exempted from warning, they also have to account for the remaining advance amount by 31 May. Out of the advance amount taken in the financial year 2021-2022, three billion 790 crore 54 lakh 24 thousand are still unadjusted.
Even after several reminders, the DEOs are not able to get the advance amount taken by their officers and personnel adjusted. In such a situation, there will be a case of financial disturbance. After May 30, strict action will be taken against them and an FIR will be lodged against the DDO.
