Absconding ex-BJP leader arrested in UKPSC paper leak case latest news update 2023
Latest Updated 02/04/2023: The SIT has finally arrested the absconding former BJP Mandal President Sanjay Dhariwal in connection with the recruitment exam paper leak case. The police had declared a reward of fifty thousand rupees on Dhariwal. 4.25 lakh cash, two blank checks and a vehicle used to transport the candidates have been recovered from the possession of the accused.
Sanjay Dhariwal, who was the president of BJP's Mangalore Rural Mandal, has been arrested by the STF on the charge of leaking the paper of Patwari recruitment exam. According to the police, he had got a stay from the High Court in the JE-AE exam case. SSP Ajay Singh said that the accused Sanjay Dhariwal was arrested from Narsan area on Friday night. At his instance, a four-wheeler was recovered from his house, in which he used to take candidates to examination and copying centres.

He said that an amount of Rs 4.25 lakh and two blank checks have also been recovered from the flat of his brother Sudhir in Karnal, Haryana. It is alleged that Dhariwal had got many candidates to copy question paper and took money in lieu of it. He has played a role in the leaking of question papers of both the examinations. 38 accused involved in leaking question papers of both Patwari and A examinations have been arrested so far. The SIT was trying to nab Sanjay Dhariwal for a long time, but it was not coming to hand. The SIT reached Dhariwal's village Mohammadpur Jatt Mangalore and pasted a notice of attachment on his house.
