Dozens of B.Ed students reached BBMKU headquarters on Saturday and raised the issue of generic elective (subsidiary). The students said that our degrees are wrong due to technical glitches. We have studied only one generic paper. University should issue revised degree with two generic papers without delay. The students doing B.Ed after graduation have the most trouble. The students took up the matter with the BBMKU Vice-Chancellor. The Vice Chancellor assured that the matter is under consideration. Talks are also going on with the Directorate of Higher Education.
From the year 2016 onwards, students are being given the option of having only one generic paper along with one core paper in graduation. Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has made it clear in the vacancy of teachers that the combination of two other papers with one major subject is mandatory, otherwise you will not be able to appear in the examination.
In the year 2016, Vinoba Bhave University Hazaribagh started graduation under CBCS system. At that time, due to technical mistake, the study of only one generic paper started. This technical flaw also remained in BBMKU, which was formed after separating from Vibhavi. Due to this, the problems of graduate students from session 2016-19 to 2020-23 have increased. Recently, students of Vibhavi and Ranchi University have also raised this issue. The students have demanded release of revised degree by adding one more generic paper in graduation from BBMKU Management. NSUI and AJSU Students Union have also supported the demand of B.Ed students. Student organizations said that the central appointment would deprive the students of the state. Revised result of graduation should be issued with two generic papers.
