1.43 lakh candidates appeared in UKPSC Forest Guard Recruitment Exam latest news update 2023

Recruitment examination was conducted at 625 centers amidst tight security, the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission claimed that the examination was peaceful at all centers

Latest Updated 10/04/2023: The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission's Forest Guard recruitment examination, conducted for 894 posts, was completed on Sunday amidst the crackdown on copying mafia. In which the total attendance was 69.27%, the commission has claimed that the examination was completed peacefully.


Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) Secretary GS Rawat said that on Sunday, the examination was held between 11 am and 1 pm at 625 examination centers in the state. In which a total of 2.06 lakh applicants were registered, out of which 1,42,973 took the exam, while 63,417 remained absent.

Thus the total attendance was 69.27 percent. He said that there has been no any complaint of irregularities from any centre, the commission will make the answer sheets available online within a week. The commission claimed that no any complaints of any kind of irregularities have been received anywhere. The examination was organized peacefully at all the centres.


On the other hand, 37081 applicants took the exam at 128 exam centers in Dehradun district. A total of 53115 applicants had applied here. Out of this, 16073 applicants remained absent in the examination. A total of 69.81% applicants appeared in the examination.


Commission is not aware of the accused STF had busted the cheating attempts in this exam a day before. In which the commission had also made public the names of some of the 15 applicants, while talking about the confirmation of the information about purchasing the paper. But the police has not provide any official information about this to the commission. 

That's why the Commission doesn't have the information about providing or not providing the papers of the suspected accused. Girdhari Singh Rawat who is Secretory said that the Commission has already banned 106 debarred in the past as per the prescribed procedure, there is no any information about the new accused yet.
