Latest Updated 17/02/2023: The govt will give a cash award of three lakh rupees each to the matriculation & intermediate toppers of Jharkhand. Along with this, the 2nd position holder will get two lakh rupees & the third position holder will get one lakh rupees. This announcement was made through Education Minister Jagarnath Mahato on Thursday. He was speaking at the inauguration of the Sahay Cup sports competition at Birsa Munda Football Stadium in Morabadi.


All the students who are in the top 3 from the state in Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), CBSE & ICSE will be benefitted. Along with this, toppers will also get laptop & smart phone. It has been approved through the cabinet. This scheme will be implemented by the toppers of 2022. Earlier (2020) matriculation (10th) toppers were provide one lakh, 75 thousand & 50 thousand rupees respectively, but now they will get 3 lakh, 2 lakh and 1 lakh rupees just like Inter. The department has received the list of toppers of all 3 boards. Now, the felicitation ceremony will be conduct after taking time from the Chief Minister (CM).

The Education Minister said that the govt is determined to take the students forward. Under this, the prize money for all the board toppers has been increased. This will also generate an atmosphere of competition.

Total 75 students of Jharkhand will be benefited in this session


75 students of this session will be benefitted by the govt's decision to increase the prize money provide to the toppers. In JAC's Matriculation & Intermediate examination, 25 students are included in the top 3 in 2022, who will be given prize money. Apart from 25 top 3 of JAC, around 50 state top three students of CBSE & ICSE classes 10th and 12th will be awarded.
