Latest Updated 05/02/2023: Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University means AKTU Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof. Pradeep Kumar Mishra has been removed by the Raj Bhavan with immediate effect. He has been affiliated to Shakuntala Mishra National Rehabilitation University. Vice Chancellor of Lucknow University Prof. Alok Kumar Rai has been given additional charge of AKTU.

Investigation based action
AKTU Vice Chancellor Prof. PK Mishra had constituted an inquiry committee on February 1 on the basis of a complaint by the UGC and the Prime Minister's Office. This complaint by Prof. Vinay Pathak's work was done during his stay as Vice Chancellor in AKTU. Retired High Court Justice Pramod Kumar Srivastava was made the chairman of the inquiry committee. Before the inquiry committee even started its work, AKTU Vice Chancellor Prof. PK Mishra was removed from the post by the Raj Bhavan.
