Latest Updated 05/02/2023: Indian Army has announced changes in Agniveer recruitment process. Now aspirants who want to join army under Agniveer Bharti have to first give online Common Entrance Examination (CEE). After it, the applicants will have to go through a physical fitness test & medical examination. Army sources said that the first online test for recruitment is likely to be conducted in April at around 200 locations across the country. The new process will be applicable to around 40,000 candidates appearing in the next recruitment. According to a report, 19,000 Agniveers have joined the army so far. 21 thousand will join the army from the first week of March.
Therefore, the purpose behind implementing the new system is to reduce the crowd in recruitment rallies and the cost of the selection process.

For Agniveer recruitment process one had to go through physical fitness test first. After this, the last step was to appear for the medical examination and common entrance test. Now online exam will be the first phase. After this there will be medical and physical test.
What next... Notification by mid February
Army sources said on Saturday that a notification in this regard is expected to be issued by mid-February. Online exam will be held for the first time in April.
