Latest Updated On 02/09/2022: BPSC 67th Preliminary Exam will be held in one phase on 21st September. Following the instructions of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the Bihar Public Service Commission has decided to conduct the examination in a single phase. Also, the order of examination for two days (20 and 21 September) has been withdrawn. With the examination being conducted in one phase, the result will also be released as before. On Thursday, the Chief Minister held a meeting with Chief Secretary Aamir Subhani and Commission Chairman Atul Prasad on the problem of the candidates regarding the BPSC Preliminary Examination.

The Chief Minister said that the preliminary examination of BPSC would be conducted in one day and one shift as before. It is to be known that the candidates of BPSC had also protested on Wednesday regarding their problem. In the meeting, the President of BPSC apprised the Chief Minister about the whole situation. The President told the CM that he has held discussions with all the District Magistrates & Regional Officers. In this context, it has been decided that now the examination will be held on the same day. In this way, after the intervention of the Chief Minister, the Bihar Public Service Commission had to change its decision. The earlier system has been restored in the state regarding the preliminary examination of the commission. In this way the demand of the agitating candidates has been accepted.

Commission will soon put detailed information on the website

After the instructions of the CM to take the examination in one phase, the commission has decided to conduct the preliminary examination on 21 September. The commission says that detailed information in this regard will be released on the website shortly. However, the commission has not yet provide any clarity about releasing the result on the basis of percentile. However, experts say that due to the examination being held one day, the result will be released as before.

DM make additional center

After the instructions of the CM, in the meeting conduct in the BPSC office, all the DMs were talked to for setting up additional examination centers for organizing the preliminary examination on the same day. All the District Magistrates joined the meeting by video conferencing. Opinion was taken from DM on making better examination centers for 6 lakh applicants. All the DMs agreed on this.

Magistrate will stay at the center

It was decided that the center superintendent & invigilator at the additional examination center set up later should be replaced by a govt official or a block education officer, headmaster of govt schools in place of the professor or teacher of that center. Magistrates will also be recruited at additional centers.

There was a movement against the change in the examination system

In view of the paper leak, the Bihar Public Service Commission had decided to conduct the 67th Preliminary Examination on two days, 20 and 22 September. It was also said that the result will also be out on the basis of percentile. The students were agitating against this. Campaigns were also run on social media. The candidates also performed on Wednesday. After this the Chief Minister had called a meeting.
