Bihar Government Education Department Notification: 75% attendance again required for cycle, scholarship and dress amount latest news update 2022
Latest Updated On 02/09/2022: To take advantage of all the schemes including cycle, dress, scholarship run by the Education Department of Bihar Government, 75 attendance of students has become mandatory again. This has been made effective from the current academic session 2022-23 itself.
This information was given by Deepak Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary, Education Department. He said that instructions have been given to all district education officers regarding this. It should be noted that during the long school closure due to Corona, the Bihar government had given exemption in this. This year, only those students will be able to get the amount of government schemes, who would have been present in the class for at least 75 percent of the days.

It should be noted that from the financial year 2019-20, the education department directly transfers the amount of the schemes to the beneficiary's account (Direct Benefit Transfer). For this, the department has made a standard operating procedure (Standard Operating Procedure) for the entry of data of all the students enrolled in government schools from class I to XII and verification of 75% attendance. A software named MedhaSoft is developed by NIC for this. The details of all the nominees are to be uploaded on it.

Manoj Kumar, Special Secretary of Education Department cum Nodal Officer of DBT Koshang has instructed the districts to enter the data of the students of the current academic session on the MedhaSoft portal. School heads will complete the entry of their students on this by 30 September. By October 5, 'Yes' or 'No' will have to be entered for 75 percent attendance of all the students recorded on this portal. Preliminary schools will send a printout of this to the BEO while high school and plus two will send it to the DEO. Both the level officers will verify them.
