Honorarium of Kasturba Gandhi Residential School employees increased by 20%
Latest Updated On 15/09/2022: Four teachers will be appointed separately on contract in 57 girls residential schools of Jharkhand. That is, a total of 228 teachers will be appointed. At the same time, the honorarium of non-teaching staff working in 203 Kasturba Gandhi Girls Residential Schools has been increased by 20 percent.
Apart from this, an increased 20 percent honorarium can also be paid to the block resource persons and cluster resource workers of the state. A decision on this was taken in the state executive meeting of Jharkhand Education Project Council on Wednesday. In the meeting of JPC State Executive held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, it was agreed to reinstate four teachers as well as non-teaching staff in 57 Jharkhand Girls Residential Schools. They will be reinstated in the school as needed. Apart from the prescribed provisions for appointment, it will be necessary for the candidate to have matriculation and intermediate from Jharkhand. Three years before the teachers and staff of Kasturba Schools, the honorarium of teachers here was also increased by 20 percent. The honorarium of BRP CRP was increased earlier, but due to lack of amount, it was not being paid. Jharkhand Education Project Council will now pay the increased amount.

Decision taken in JEPC's state executive meeting, block and cluster resource workers will now get increased honorarium
There was no increase in the amount of 800 JEPC personnel, no increase was made in the salary of 800 personnel working under the Jharkhand Education Project Council. A decision on this was not taken in the state executive meeting. There has been no increase in the salary of these employees for the last four years. The increase is not being done even after getting the consent of the Finance Department. JEPC State Executive meeting was to be held last week itself. A day before the meeting, the delegation of JEPC Employees Union went from the Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Hemant Soren and presented their complaint. Despite this, no decision was taken on the increase in his salary in the meeting held on Wednesday.

The approval of the amount was not received from the center
An agreement was reached in 2019 itself regarding the increase in the honorarium of BRP CRP of Jharkhand. This amount could not be sanctioned from the Centre. Jharkhand Education Project Council will now bear this additional amount from its internal source if the amount is not approved by the Centre. An amount of Rs 11.50 crore is required for payment of honorarium to them. This amount has been demanded from the state government.
Finance department also recommended increase in salary
The Finance Department also recommended an increase in salary, but that too is being sidelined. The process of making the contractual workers working for more than 10 years in other departments has also started, but there is no one to take care of the workers working for 25 years in the Jharkhand Education Project Council. Its file is also pending in the department.
