Latest Updated On 08/05/2022: The court said that the government cannot recruit on a single seat without issuing an advertisement. The original (main) advt. for this recruitment is 69 thousand Assistant Teacher Recruitment. Earlier, Justice Rajan Rai in Lucknow Bench asked the government to reconsider this recruitment. Simultaneously, it has been instructed not to do any recruitment till further orders.
Allahabad High Court has stayed the ongoing selection procedure in the matter of providing 6800 seats to the reserved category in the un-advertised 19 thousand vacancies of 69000 assistant teacher recruitment. This order of the court has dealt a big blow to the govt. The court has said that apart from 69 thousand vacancies, no appointment should be made & un-advertised posts should not be filled in any case.

Justice Rajiv Joshi has provide this order on the petition of Alok Singh & others. The court has also directed all the parties to file their replies on 18 July 2022 in this case.
Applicants say that in this recruitment, only 3.80% reservation has been provide to OBC category instead of 27%. The SC category was given only 16.2% reservation instead of 21% which is completely wrong because in this recruitment process there has been a reservation scam in about 19000 seats while the govt has provide only 6800 seats against 19000 seats.
