Live Updates in hindi: mpw's honorarium increased to 4400 by the government of jharkhand
Latest Updated On 06/03/2025: The state government has increased the honorarium of Multipurpose Worker Male (MPW M) working on contract from Rs 3200 to Rs 4400.
- The increase will be effective from 1st September
- Order released after approval of Health Minister
Health Minister Dr Irfan Ansari said that this benefit will be payable to MPW from 01 September 2024. That is, about 1575 MPWs working in the state will also get five months' arrears.
After the approval of Health Minister and Additional Chief Secretary of Health Department Ajay Kumar Singh, Director General Health Dr CK Shahi has issued an order in this regard. Here, the Health Minister said, MPWs are serving the public by putting their lives at stake.
In such a situation, this salary hike is an effort to salute their unique contribution. According to the departmental order, MPWs working in four districts of the state, Ranchi, Dhanbad, East Singhbhum, Bokaro (where transport allowance is estimable) will now get Rs 31,300 as lump sum contract amount, while in the remaining 20 districts they will get Rs 30,100.
Let us tell you that their honorarium was increased by about 26 percent two years ago. In December 2023, the government had increased it by Rs 5584. After this, the lump sum contract amount they get every month was increased from Rs 21316 to Rs 26900.
This benefit was given to them from the date of 01 April 2023. Now the honorarium has been increased by 3200-4400.
