Latest Updated On 08/03/2025: The State Education Research and Training Council has once again revised the date of annual assessment/examination 2024 for children studying in classes 1 to 8 in all government and government aided primary schools of the state and has released a new date. The examination will start from March 10 and will continue till March 20. As per the new date, the examination will now run for seven days. Changes have also been made in which subject will be examined date wise. As per the date released earlier, the examination was to be held from March 10 to March 19. The council has written a letter to all the District Education Officers and District Program Officers and informed about this. The council has said that the exam date has been changed due to unavoidable reasons. The first shift examination will run from 10 to 12 and the second shift examination will run from 1 to 3 pm.

There will be oral examination for class 1 and 2 The council has said that the format of evaluation of children of class one and two will be oral. It will be conducted by the class teachers of the school. The evaluation of children from class three to eight will be based on written examination. Subject wise questions related to the examination of class one and two will be made available through the e-Shiksha Kosh portal. Printed question paper cum answer sheet for students of class three to eight will be made available school wise by March 8.
The council has said that the DEO will depute a teacher working in a school at the block level to another school for inspection work in the annual assessment examination. The council said that the invigilators-teachers who are found to be cooperating in malpractice during the conduct of the half-yearly examination 2024 will be kept free from inspection work in the annual examination. Action will be taken against them as per the rules.
