Latest Updated On 03/03/2025: The application process for CUET UG 2025 has started. Students can apply online by visiting cuet.nta.nic.in till 22 March. This exam will be conducted in 285 cities of the country from 8 May to 1 June. This time many changes will be seen in CUET UG. Now there will be examination in 37 subjects.
The number of subjects in the CUET UG exam has been reduced from 63 to 37, which includes 13 languages, 23 domain specific subjects and a General Aptitude Test (GAT). Admission for the subjects which have been removed will be given on the basis of marks in the General Aptitude Test.

Candidates can take the exam from any subject
Candidates are allowed to choose a maximum of five subjects, whether they have studied those subjects in class 12th or not. This means that students can choose subjects which they have not studied in 12th. In CUET UG 2025, the duration of 60 minutes has been fixed for all the exams. Earlier this duration ranged from 45 minutes to 60 minutes. Each test paper will have 50 questions. Five marks will be awarded for the correct answer, while one mark will be deducted for the wrong answer.
The system of optional questions has been abolished in CUET UG. Now all questions will be compulsory. Last year, 40 out of 50 questions were compulsory in the exam papers and the General Test had 50 out of 60 questions (with a choice of 10 questions).
Exam will be conducted in online mode
CUET UG 2025 exam will be conducted completely in CBT (Computer Based Test) mode, whereas last year it was conducted in hybrid mode (both CBT and pen-paper mode). Now candidates will be able to appear in a maximum of 5 subjects instead of six subjects. The number of exam centers in CUET UG 2025 has been reduced from 354 to 285 in India and from 26 to 15 abroad.
