In response to the starred question of Dr. Urmila Thakur on Tuesday, the Health Minister said that 326 community health centers are operating in 534 blocks of 38 districts of the state. Along with this, 1494 additional primary health centers are also operating. To meet the shortage of doctors, a requisition has been sent to Bihar Technical Services Commission for the recruitment of 3623 specialist doctors, 667 general physicians and 808 dentists. In response to Sarvesh Kumar's question, the minister said that a requisition has been sent to Bihar Technical Services Commission for regular appointment on 7903 vacant posts of GNM. In response to the short notice question of Sachchidanand Rai, the minister said that the requisition for appointment to 542 vacant posts of specialist medical officers such as general surgeon and 542 gynaecologists in the state has been sent to the Bihar Technical Services Commission. 216 hospitals will be converted into first referral units. Sex ratio is more than 900 in 12 districts of Bihar
In response to Saurabh Kumar's question, Minister Mr. Pandey said that grant money from the Chief Minister's Medical Assistance Fund is made available to hospitals within 15 days. Treatment can also be done under Ayushman Yojana. In response to Shashi Yadav's question, the minister said that cleaning is done through an agency in all government medical colleges of the state including Darbhanga. Due to this, maintenance amount is not taken from the students. In response to Dr. Urmila Thakur's short notice question, the minister said that the sex ratio of women in the state is 882. But in 12 districts the sex ratio is more than 900. Sex ratio has improved in nine districts. To improve the falling sex ratio, 312 cases have been registered so far under the PNDT Act. In response to Shashi Yadav's short notice question, the minister said that the help of alternate vaccine delivery is taken in the regular vaccination campaign and in return they are given incentives.
