Soon the department will take a final decision on this and release the guidelines to the districts. With the criteria for the schools being decided, the posting process is expected to move forward rapidly.
The committee constituted under the chairmanship of the secretary of the department has decided that the schools near the municipal bodies will be placed in the semi-urban category. At the same time, schools established in all the municipal bodies of the state will come under the urban category. Apart from this, rules have also been made for other categories. The department is preparing to place the schools in the categories of urban, semi-urban, rural, hilly and diara (river area).
