Latest Updated 09/07/2024: Officers and employees of rural banks across the country including Bihar will get salary and allowances like employees of commercial banks. Also, pensioners of rural banks will also get financial benefits. The Union Finance Ministry on Monday released a notification to implement the salary and allowances of nationalized banks in rural banks across the country. With this, the one-time benefit of the 12th pay agreement applicable in commercial banks and the ninth joint letter will be applicable in rural banks.
10 thousand retired workers of Bihar will be benefited
With this decision, the officers and employees of two rural banks of Bihar, North Bihar Gramin Bank and South Bihar Gramin Bank, along with employees of a total of 43 rural banks across the country will get financial benefits. This will directly benefit about one lakh employees working in rural banks of the country and about 30 thousand retired employees. These include about 10 thousand employees and retired employees of North and South Bihar Gramin Bank.
