Latest Updated 12/07/2024: Amid opposition attacks on the Agneepath scheme, five chiefs of central paramilitary forces on Thursday said that they will recruit 10 percent former Agniveers in their forces without physical examination. Rules have been amended for this. The first batch will be given five years relaxation in age limit and the second batch will be given three years relaxation.

Central paramilitary force CISF DG Neena Singh, CRPF DG Anish Dayal, BSF DG Nitin Agarwal, SSB's Daljit Singh and RPF DG Manoj Yadav issued separate statements saying that the forces have changed their recruitment rules for the recruitment of former Agniveers. They said that in the recruitment for the posts of constable in the central forces, 10 percent seats will be reserved for Agniveers retiring from the Army, Air Force and Navy. Former Agniveers will also be exempted from physical efficiency test (PET).

Chiefs of paramilitary forces informed that the first batch of Agniveers retiring in December 2026-January 2017 will get relaxation of five years in age limit and the batch retiring after this will get relaxation of three years.
