Latest Updated 12/07/2024: The CBI arrested Rocky alias Rakesh, the mastermind of the setter gang in the NEET UG paper leak. He was caught from Patna's bypass area on Thursday morning when he was trying to escape to Ranchi after coming from Nepal by bus.
After the arrest, the CBI produced Rocky in the special court of Patna, from where he was taken on 10-day remand. Rocky, originally a resident of Gajendra Bigha village of Hilsa in Nalanda, lives in Nawada. Rocky runs a restaurant while living in Ranchi. During investigation, it was revealed that Rocky had sent the NEET question paper with answers in PDF form on Chintu's WhatsApp.
After this, Chintu made about 35 students memorize the answers in a school in Khemnichak, Patna on the night of May 4. The next day, the police found a part of the burnt question paper at the same place. The question paper was taken out from Oasis School in Hazaribagh. The CBI has arrested the principal and vice-principal of this school.
They were taken on remand and interrogated for about 10 days.
