Latest Updated 21/07/2024: NCC, Scout and Guide and NSS have been made compulsory in all residential schools. The Department of Art, Culture and Youth has issued a letter to the Education Department on July 18 informing about this.
Residential schools include Navodaya Vidyalaya along with Simultala Residential School, Sainik School and Kasturba Vidyalaya. These will be implemented in all these schools from this session. Let us tell you that till now there was an optional arrangement for this in these schools. But now it has been made mandatory. Recently, the Department of Art, Culture and Youth had a review meeting regarding this. All residential schools will have to get registered from this session.
For this, registration will have to be done with NCC, Scout and Guide and NSS. After this, its representatives will go to all the schools and train the students. Registration for Scout and Guide will start from class one and for NCC from sixth.
